In September, Desjardins Financial Security Life Assurance Company (DFS) announced its decision to stop opening new contracts for Helios2. We would like to remind you that as of March 31, 2026, at 4 p.m. (ET), DFS will no longer accept any contract applications received for Helios2 contracts.
This decision is part of a broader strategic initiative that aims to simplify and optimize our investment products (mutual funds, structured products, exchange-traded funds, term investments, and annuities) while meeting the current and future needs of clients.
What you need to know
- This measure
only applies to new sales.
- Clients who
already have a Helios2 contract will not be affected, they will retain all their rights and benefits, and the administration of existing contracts will continue normally until maturity.
